Paul Robinson has hailed the impact a group of fans has had on the club’s progress in recent seasons.
"Robbo" also appealed to supporters to keep coming forward with their donations for the We Are Wimbledon Fund, as he knows it could still help make a big difference to Neal Ardley's squad plans for the new season.
The experienced defender, who has helped establish us as a League One club since arriving two years ago from Portsmouth, was also quick to thank fans for supporting the initiative.
“I just want to say a big thank-you to all the fans who have contributed to the We Are Wimbledon Fund,” said Paul. It makes a massive difference to this football club and every advantage we can gain to help push this club forward we need to make the most of. I just want to thank the fans, but also to keep encouraging more and more contributions. Make sure you get everyone you know to contribute towards it because every advantage we can gain – the quality of the players that we’ve brought in already – will allow the manager to do so even more in the future.
“We just want to say a big thank you, because as players we want better players coming in, and I’m sure as fans you want to see better players. The football club as a whole everyone benefits from it. Thank you very much and keep working hard at it.”
The main way for fans to contribute is via a direct debit form from the We Are Wimbledon Fund website. There is an option for supporters to make one-off payments via this form. In the section that says 'Payment Schedule, where it asks for the 'End' date, simply select 'Take certain number of debits' and a new box will open to choose option 1.
