Cup preview: Cray Valley PM

16 March 2017

Young Dons bid to reach last four of competition

AFC Wimbledon travel to Cray Valley Paper Mills in the quarter-finals of the London Senior Cup tonight, kick-off 7.45pm.

A win for the Dons would set up a semi-final at home to either Dulwich Hamlet or Tooting and Mitcham United, as they look to regain the silverware they last won by beating Metropolitan Police in the final in 2014 at Imber Court.

The hosts, who play in the Southern Counties East League, received a walkover from their tie against Croydon in the first round and followed that up with an impressive 3-1 victory at Welling United.

A young Wimbledon side, under the guidance of Alan Reeves (pic), booked their place in the last eight with a 2-1 win at Corinthian-Casuals just before Christmas, followed up by a 4-1 victory at Redbridge in the last round – where Toyosi Olusanya netted twice.

Admission prices are £8 for adults and £5 for concessions (OAPs and students with valid ID); U16s are admitted free of charge if accompanied by an adult.

Address for the ground is as follows: Badgers Sports ground, Middle Park Avenue, Eltham, SE9 5HT.
