Welcome to Chelsea Ladies

Ground will play host to UEFA Women's Champions League games

25 May 2017

Chelsea Ladies will have a new home for the 2017/18 season, switching to The Cherry Red Records Stadium following the completion of their Spring Series campaign.

Chelsea Ladies will play about 20 League and Cup games, usually on a weekend, but with some midweek games, especially in the European Champions League.

The arrangement will become permanent when ownership transfers to Chelsea following us taking ownership of the land upon which our new stadium in Plough Lane will be built. From that date we will play here as tenants, but Wimbledon fans should notice little difference in the arrangements and use of the stadium until we leave in 2019.

In preparation for the new season, Chelsea are carrying out renovation work in the changing rooms. They are also making substantial improvement to the pitch where we will be making a contribution to the costs at the same level as our current year's spending.

AFC Wimbledon Chief Executive Erik Samuelson said: "We are very pleased to welcome Chelsea Ladies to The Cherry Red Records stadium. We are sure they will enjoy their football here and we wish them every success in their forthcoming campaigns.'"
