Graham seeks Wembley glory

3 May 2017

Dons fan aims to become Every Gamer's Adventure Champion!

An AFC Wimbledon supporter will on Sunday be aiming to help his club to glory at Wembley once again.

Almost 12 months since Neal Ardley’s men won the League 2 play-off trophy, Graham Hall takes on over 60 video gamers from clubs around the country.

It's the official Emirates FA Cup FIFA 17 gaming tournament with the winner crowned as Every Gamer's Adventure Champion!

Games in the one-day e-Sports event will be played across iconic areas inside Wembley Stadium including the changing rooms, players’ tunnel and team dugouts.

The gaming event, which debuted last year, has generated an even higher interest from both gamers and football fans alike for the 16/17 season, with Graham beating over 12,000 other entrants to secure a place.

Graham will be aiming to fight off stiff competition as he travels to Wembley Stadium, the home of football, in the hope of lifting the cup aloft. The gamers will also be joined on the day by YouTube stars and FIFA gaming fanatics – Tobiias, Theo Baker and ReevHD – with the opportunity to test their skills against the pros.

The one-day tournament will kick off with one gamer representing each of the 64 teams from the third round of this year’s Emirates FA Cup. The tournament will be played on FIFA 17 on PlayStation 4 consoles.

The final will be played out on the Wembley pitch and the victor will receive four tickets to The Emirates FA Cup Final on Saturday 27 May, as well as the prestige of being this year’s champion.

Lucy Roberts-Hartley, The Emirates FA Cup Marketing Manager, said: “The chance to represent your beloved club at the home of football, Wembley Stadium, truly is an unrivalled experience and we’re thrilled to offer this opportunity to this winning group of mega fans and gamers. Just like the real Emirates FA Cup tournament, we’re sure that the gaming competition will provide many twists and turns, giant killings and shock results. What better way to warm up for the Emirates FA Cup Final just a few weeks later in the very same iconic venue.”
