He’s now back at AFC Wimbledon coaching our young goalkeeping talents, but Seb Brown took time out to recall the penalty saving exploits six years ago that made him a club hero forever.
“Every time the anniversary of it comes around, it is difficult to hide from it, especially with social media now,” said Seb. “It is very quick to remind you how long ago things were and stuff like that, but it’s always nice to be reminded of it. In terms of memories, I don’t think I will ever shake that one off to be honest!
“With the affinity that this club has with its goalkeepers, it is just nice to be a part of that. It is easy to get lost, especially at a club like this because we have progressed up and had a constant turnover of players, so it is nice to be remembered a bit more. It’s just great though to come back here to watch a game and get a drink at the bar.”
Now back at the club as Academy Goalkeeper Coach, Seb also talked about keeping in touch with the class of 2011 who made history.
