We are delighted to announce that Shakey's Diner will be introducing more tasty treats to the match day catering menu to keep you warm during the winter months!
It's been a busy few months for Jules, Steve, and the team since they revamped the catering experience at the Cherry Red Records Stadium, but they wouldn't want it any other way and for Saturday's match against Walsall new menu items are being introduced.
In addition to the traditional favourites, look out for the following:
• Nachos with home-made Chilli, Cheese sauce and Chilli flakes. Hot Tomato Soup (available at the unit between Chemflow and RyGas Stand)
• A selection of hot pies (kiosk behind the John Green Stand, plus Chemflow/RyGas corner)
• Dirty Dawg - Our classic Hot Dog, smothered with pulled pork in a BBQ sauce (car park unit)
"It's been a busy first few months for us at the Cherry Red Records Stadium," said Jules Snow. "We continue listening to everything that you share with us and have made a number of changes to move the queues as fast as possible. We do acknowledge that the unit between the Chemflow and the Paul Strank Stand is extremely busy at half-time. Your patience and use of the neighbouring units really is most appreciated. It's great to have now made so many friends on match days. Come On You Dons!"
Established by brothers Jules and Steve Snow in 2012, Shakey's Diner began operating out of their distinctive vintage Airstream-style trailer, serving classic American Diner comfort food.
You may know them from our Vintage Days at Kingsmeadow. If not, they have provided catering at many high-profile events including the London Motor Show, BST at Hyde Park, Glastonbury, the NFL games in London, plus race meetings at Epsom, Cheltenham and Sandown Park.
They use locally sourced food wherever possible, like fresh bread from their local bakery near Hampton Court and they even grow their own chillies! One of their best products is their "Chilli Cheese Dog" - a fresh jumbo 10" hot dog, topped with their slow cooked home-made chilli, and smothered with cheese and Jalapenos.
