AFC Wimbledon's development squad will tomorrow be aiming to build on an encouraging season so far against Bristol Rovers (2.00 pm kick-off at Merstham FC).
A Central League victory at AFC Bournemouth last month was followed up by a win in the London Senior Cup at Hackney Wick with Paul Kalambayi (pictured) starring in both.
It will be a young AFC Wimbledon squad for tomorrow's Central League Cup group match with several first-teamers having featured in last week's Checkatrade Trophy match.
"We will have a young team," said Alan Reeves. "Senior players got game-time last week and Egli (Kaja) and Anthony (Hartigan) both played so they don't need 90 minutes. It will give me a chance to take a look at our Under-18s. We get reports about how they are getting on, but it's good for the staff to take a look at them for ourselves. You never know what the opposition will be like. They could bring a young team or one with more experience due to players coming back from injury. We just aim to get our team working hard and organised, no matter what the opposition are like."
