Meet Darius and Jon at Foundation launch

Join Dons first-teamers before Pompey game

Darius Charles and Jon Meades will be showing their support tomorrow for a wide range of activities hosted by our AFC Wimbledon Foundation.

Supporters can meet Darius (pictured) and Jon ahead of the match from around 2.15 pm. They will be at the Foundation's gazebo or by the inflatable shoot-out and fans are welcome to get their autographs.

Pop-in at the gazebo to find out more about courses run by the Foundation in the near future.

The Foundation has a range of activities going on before tomorrow's game, including the following:

Dons v Pompey Walking Football Tournament

From 10.00 am tomorrow, the Foundation are hosting a band of hardy Portsmouth over 50s walking footballers, who will take on our AFC Wimbledon team at the nearby Kingsmeadow Athletics Centre. All of the players will be presented on the pitch before the game.

The AFC Wimbledon Foundation run a walking football session at Tooting and Mitcham FC's ground on a Wednesday evening from 6.00 pm until 7.00 pm. For further information, contact Philip Rudling or Andrew May at the Foundation office on 0208 9745 712.

Macmillan Cancer Female Football Tournament

A Macmillan charity football tournament for ladies aged 30 and over will take place at the KIngsmeadow Athletics Stadium from 12 noon until 2.30pm. A total of 10 teams across the London and South East will compete in the tournament, including COGs (Crawley Old Girls) Crystal Palace Pumas, Canterbury Old Bags, and our own AFC Wimbledon Foundation 30+ team.

As part of the fundraiser, a signed England Women's Team shirt from the European Championship is up for grabs. The Foundation is selling it through its Ebay account. For further information, please visit www.afcwimbledonfoundation.com .

Player Development Centre

The Foundation'spopular Saturday morning Player Development Centre sesssions start-up again tomorrow at Wimbledon Park from 10 – 11.30am with a structured session that combines skills development and small-sided match play. The sessions are aimed at footballers from the age of six to 13. For more information, visit the Foundation website.
