Anthony earns nomination for EFL award

Young midfielder in contention for League One honour

3 April 2018

Anthony Hartigan has been recognised for his impressive rise through the AFC Wimbledon ranks with a nomination for the League One LFE Apprentice of the Year accolade.

The 18-year-old, who made 16 first-team appearances for the Dons this season before a knee injury curtailed his campaign, is one of three players shortlisted for the honour in League One.

Anthony will be up against Dru Yearwood (Southend United) and Lewis Freestone (Peterborough United) for the award.

The Apprentice of the Year award recognises outstanding young professionals who excel both on and off the pitch, with educational progress one of the factors considered.

The overall winner of the League One LFE Apprentice of the Year will be announced and presented on Sunday 15 April at the 2018 EFL Awards, to be held at the London Hilton on Park Lane.

All at AFC Wimbledon congratulate Anthony on his nomination.
