Darius Charles summed up the battling qualities that defied Wigan and he's eager to finish the job of helping AFC Wimbledon to seal survival.
Darius and his team-mates had to really dig deep to grind out a draw at the DW Stadium with the hosts throwing everything at Wimbledon in an effort to win the League One title.
However, the Dons held out doggedly for a 1-1 draw, showing plenty of hard graft to deny their opponents.
"In moments like this it's down to the back four, in particular, to make sure you rally the troops, and get people where we need them to be," said Darius. "We showed real grit and determination, which is a huge part of defending. We did that, which is why we were able to come away with something. If you come away to Wigan and get a point, you have to be pleased. Wigan totally deserve to be top, they are there for a reason. We knew it was going to be tough and we had to show a real focus, making sure that we stuck to our jobs.
"It was a steely performance with a lot of determination, it was absolutely the right attitude. We have two more games to come now. We have to rest and recover now to make sure we are right for heading up to Doncaster on Tuesday. Hopefully, we can get the points tally that we all want."
