Dean Parrett set his sights on sealing League One survival for AFC Wimbledon after striking the all-important winner at Walsall yesterday.

The midfielder, who struck the vital penalty deep into injury-time to earn a 3-2 win for Wimbledon, also spoke to iFollow afterwards about coping with the pressure of the situation.

"You just have to keep calm and pick your corner," said Dean. "You practice all week for a situation like that. Obviously, there was a bit of added pressure due to the situation, but George Francomb came up to me and said, 'pick your corner and put it there'. That's what I did.

"We were not happy with our first-half performance at all. We all looked at each other at half-time and said, 'It is not good enough'. I thought we were fantastic in the second-half, there were some fantastic performances right throughout the team. The fans were brilliant, they got right behind us, especially after we scored, but also right throughout the game.

"The boys are buzzing, but we have another game next Saturday. We have to keep the momentum going. We've had three good performances now, beating two very good teams in Scunthorpe and Charlton, and now we've come through against Walsall in difficult circumstances."
