Neal Ardley praised Deji Oshilaja for putting uncertainty over his future behind him with a fully committed display for AFC Wimbledon.
The manager confirmed after today's game that there was interest before the transfer deadline closed in Wimbledon's captain, but he showed the right attitude to be included in the starting line-up against Coventry City.
"Deji has had a really tough week," said Neal. "We've had offers from two clubs, one in our league and one in the league above. Deji is ambitious and naturally he would want to play in the league above. We know that he is probably good enough to do that. When what was offered did not match the valuation of the club, that is a blow for the player, but Deji turned up on Friday morning and his attitude was fantastic.
"He put the armband on today and he was absolutely incredible, considering what he had been through this week. Deji is a credit to himself and his family."
