We are pleased to confirm that a season-long loan deal has now been completed for Doncaster Rovers left-back Tyler Garratt.
The 21-year-old impressed Neal Ardley with his performance in the 0-0 friendly draw at Boreham Wood and the manager believes that he will add good competition for the left-back spot with Ben Purrington having signed yesterday.
"Tyler fitted the profile of what we wanted," said Neal. "He is young, very athletic, and he could not have done anymore with his performances in training and in the match against Boreham Wood. We've tried to stick to what we wanted to do during the summer and Tyler fits the profile of what we wanted perfectly. He is going to provide really good competition for the left-back place this season."
Tyler came though the academy at his hometown club Lincoln City, but he signed for Bolton Wanderers in 2013. After progressing to the first-team squad at Bolton, Tyler made three first-team appearances for Bolton during the 2015/16 season, gaining experience in the Championship. Following a switch to Doncaster Rovers in 2016, Tyler has made 28 first-team appearances, and he spent a spell during 2016/17 at National League side Eastleigh.
