Midfielder Alfie Egan will increase his first-team experience by going out on loan to National League South side East Thurrock United.
The 20-year-old will join the Essex club on a three-month loan deal and Neil Cox believes it is exactly what he needs at this stage of his career.
"Alfie has played Under-23 football now for two years and I think he's played too much of it," said Neil. "He needs to go out and play first-team football on Saturdays. It will be beneficial for Alfie and he will only be a better player for the experience."
Dons academy product Alfie has made seven first-team starts and 15 substitute appearances in all competitions for Wimbledon since moving up to the professional ranks two years ago.
