AFC Wimbledon started the season impressively by securing three points at Fleetwood and you can help Neal Ardley’s men to build on that by cheering on the boys against Coventry City.
Tickets are selling well for Wimbledon’s first home match of 2018/19, which takes place against the newly promoted Sky Blues on Saturday.
All seat tickets are sold out, but you can guarantee a terrace place by booking now from our online ticket shop.
For older supporters, the match will bring back memories of the glory days for both clubs in the 1980s with Wimbledon having won the FA Cup in 1988, just a year after Coventry’s finest hour at Wembley.
Fast forward 30 years and both clubs will be determined to bag the points on Saturday at the Cherry Red Records Stadium. Mark Robins led Coventry to promotion in the play-off final at Wembley last season, but the Sky Blues started life back in League One with a 2-1 home defeat against Scunthorpe.
Of course, the Dons marched to a 1-0 victory in Lancashire on Saturday. Seven new players were handed their Wimbledon debuts including Ben Purrington, who is pictured saluting the 371 travelling Dons fans at Fleetwood (photo by Craig Galloway, Pro Sports Images).
