Join us on Boxing Day as Wimbledon aim for back-to-back wins under Wally

24 December 2018

Wimbledon will be aiming for back-to-back wins and a first home victory under new manager Wally Downes, when Plymouth Argyle are the visitors on Boxing Day.

You can be here to cheer on the Dons, for a match which kicks-off at 3pm at the Cherry Red Records Stadium.

Boxing Day is always a popular date in the calendar with supporters and this meeting is no exception. It’s a vital fixture for both clubs, as they aim to retain their League One status by the end of the campaign.

Demand for tickets is high, but you can still book your place on the terrace. Below is a summary of match arrangements, if you’re still thinking of getting out of the house after celebrating Christmas!

Tickets

Terrace tickets are available to buy online for the RyGas Terrace.

Please note at present seated tickets are sold out and not available to buy online. However, if you email info@afcwimbledon.ltd.uk we will be operating a waiting list for any returns we receive.

We’ll be open for business from 12.00 noon.

Our Wimbledon Brewery pop up bar will be stocking with Pale Ale, Wimbledon Gold lager and bottled soft drinks available to purchase.

The Your Golf Travel Bar (main bar) will be serving Plough Lane Ale, Gallows Gold and XXK, while the back bar will also be serving XXK and Plough Lane Ale, along with Wimbledon Common Ale.

Hot cider will be available in both bars and Plymouth supporters are welcome in our bar areas before the game.

Club shop

The club shop will be open before the match (11.00 am - 2.45 pm) and after the game against Plymouth (from 5 pm to 5.30 pm).

Programme

Our Boxing Day edition features exclusive, in-depth interviews with young midfielder Anthony Hartigan and with the Dons new Assistant Manager Glyn Hodges. Including all the usual news, views and features from around your club, the programme is available to buy at a price of £3.

Golden Goals (Sponsored by EcoGlow)

Put yourself in with a chance of winning £100 by getting hold of a Golden Goals ticket for just £1. Look out for our Golden Goals sellers before the game outside and inside the stadium. Your entry fee will be donated to the club cause with the initiative having raised thousands of pounds every season since AFC Wimbledon's reformation in 2002.

Dons Trust Kiosk

Dons Trust members and people interested in the work of the Trust are welcome to visit the Dons Trust kiosk before the match. Come and ask outgoing board member Matthew Breach and incoming board member Hannah Kitcher about the work of the board. You can also join the Trust or renew your membership at the kiosk, sign up to the Dons Draw (our regular monthly lottery) or donate loose change, foreign currency or items for AFCbay (our online auction). Please note that we no longer collect printer cartridges.

Tickets for away games

We will be selling tickets to Wimbledon supporters for our fixture on New Year’s Day at Fratton Park, against the League leaders Portsmouth. Tickets for our FA Cup third round tie at Fleetwood, on January 5, will also be on sale to Dons fans. These will be available, before or after the match, from the complimentary tickets window.
