Neal Ardley said that the management team are working hard to progress with their January transfer targets.
Speaking during an extensive update for iFollow, Neal said: “We are covering loads of games; we have got our targets and we are looking at them. We have got a few on the list and we are looking at them, but, as always, it’s very difficult. Some are other people’s players and you cannot do it when you want to do it, only when they are ready. We are also getting quoted that others want to pay stupid money, which is twice as much as we’ve got, and that’s teams in our league paying that.
“It is tough, but we are pushing forward. When one door closes, others become available. We’ve looked long and hard at what we need. Hopefully, within the next few weeks we are going to have a lot more attacking options in the squad to complement what we already have.”
The rest of the video interview with Neal includes an update on squad preparations for the match at Milton Keynes, plus the latest on the recuperations of Kwesi Appiah and Dean Parrett. It is available to iFollow subscribers via the link above.
