There was joy for everyone connected with AFC Wimbledon before Christmas when the section 106 agreement was signed for a new stadium in Plough Lane.
As part of this welcome news, Dons Trust Board member Tim Hillyer featured on the Supporters Direct Weekly Podcast, in the first show of 2018.
Speaking in the interview, Tim said: "The important thing is to get in there as soon as we can and prove to ourselves as much as anything that what we are building is going to be a great venue to watch our team progress.
"There's been a thorough job from a democratic point of view in ensuring that what we are building is right, not just for football fans, but for the whole community. The cross-party support has been vital and focused our minds on ensuring that we had things like our Foundation in place and that we support our girls and ladies teams, just as much as we do our men's senior teams. We are doing it the right way for all the right reasons."
