Get unique behind-the-scenes access by joining Blue & Yellow Club

New members are invited for 2018/19 season

23 July 2018

The Blue and Yellow club was founded six years ago with the intention of raising money for the club's playing budget.

During this time, it has raised nearly £200,000.

The club meets several times a season and two of those occasions are dinners with Neal Ardley, Neil Cox, and Erik Samuelson in a private room in a restaurant in Wimbledon. There is also a trip to the training ground as well as an informal evening where members can meet some of the players. Last season, a dinner was also held at the House of Lords, hosted by Baroness Margaret McDonagh, Lord Nick Stern and Lord Faulkner of Worcester, where John Scales was the guest speaker. Members also travel to away games together and sometimes have lunch in hospitality at the venue.

There are two ways to join the club, either as a 'Blue' member or a 'Yellow' member. The former works best for those who attend matches regularly and the latter for those who are only able to make the occasional game.

The idea is to give members unique benefits that have low direct costs to the football club, so as not to consume the membership fees, and therefore making the funds available as far as possible entirely for the playing budget. Membership is £1,000 per year.

The 'Blue' membership package is for supporters who attend matches regularly. Benefits include the following:

1. A pass to the President's Lounge for home matches.

2. Dinner with the football management team and club CEO twice a season in a private room in a Wimbledon restaurant (for the cost of the meal).

3. Access to reserved table for the Blue and Yellow Club in pre-match hospitality before home matches (for the cost of the meal)

4. Invitation to the occasional Wimbledon celebrity dinner each season. (again for the cost of the meal)

5. Subscription to the 'Wombles Down Under' magazine which is published every 6 weeks.

6. A visit to the training ground with Neal Ardley explaining how everything works.

7. Travel with other members to some away games with a meal in the away club's hospitality.

8. An invitation to an informal get together with some to the players in the week before the season starts.

The benefits of the 'Yellow' membership (for those who don't attend matches regularly) includes the following:

1. 'VIP' treatment for you and a guest at two home games a season. This would include a pre-match meal in the carvery plus access to the President's Lounge and seats in the Directors' box.

2. A visit to the training ground with Neal Ardley explaining how everything works.

3. Dinner with the Football management team and club CEO twice a season (for the cost of the meal).

4. Invitation to the occasional Wimbledon celebrity dinner each season. (again for the cost of the meal)

5. Subscription to the 'Wombles Down Under' magazine, which is published every six weeks.
