AFC Wimbledon start the 2018/19 campaign at Fleetwood Town and tickets are now on sale for this League One opener (3.00 pm kick-off).
Neal Ardley’s new-look squad will be aiming to make an immediate impact at Highbury Stadium against a side now managed by Joey Barton.
Of course, the Dons have enjoyed memorably trips to the Fylde Coast in the past, most notably back in 2011 when 600 Wimbledon supporters cheered on their team to a Conference play-off semi-final first leg victory. The picture above shows Dons fans at Highbury Stadium on that night. Fleetwood Town was also the venue where Neal Ardley secured his first point as AFC Wimbledon manager, an equaliser from Byron Harrison earning a 1-1 draw on 20 October 2012.
Dons fans will be accommodated in either the all-seater Parkside Stand, accessed via turnstiles 1 and 2 next to the main club shop, or, for those who wish to stand, the Percy Ronson Terrace, accessed via turnstiles 1 to 3, located at the junction of Hatfield Avenue and Highbury Avenue.
