AFC Wimbledon's Under-23 development squad step-up pre-season preparations with a match against Merstham FC's first-team tomorrow (7.45 pm kick-off at Carshalton Athletic).
Alfie Egan (pictured), who scored at Havant & Waterlooville, will offer first-team experience and he will be joined in the Wimbledon squad by Tommy Wood, Paul Kalambayi, and Nik Tzanev. Other youngsters that featured in Wimbledon's early first-team pre-season schedule, plus Under-18s, will also be involved in the match on Tuesday night.
It will be the second pre-season fixture for AFC Wimbledon's development squad after a 3-0 loss against Carshalton Athletic.
Merstham triumphed 1-0 against a Crystal Palace XI on Saturday in preparation for another season in the Ryman Premier League. Former Dons development squad player Richard Pingling notched the winner in that match and he could be joined in the Merstham line-up by Ben Harrison, who rose through our academy ranks before making seven first-team league appearances.
