Job Description:

An exciting opportunity for a Physiotherapist/Sport Therapist/Sports Rehab is required to provide pitch side care and treatment clinic of players at training and matches. The post will run from July 2018 to May 2019. Successful candidates will be expected to set up clinics for training nights, reporting to the management team. The ideal candidate will be working to deliver high calibre rehabilitation advice and care, to players within a variety of injuries; you will gain wide experience of working with athletes and coaches in a high-quality sporting environment which reflect scientific principles and modern techniques. The role will cover evenings on Thursdays and /or matches on Sundays.

The successful applicants will gain valuable experience working as part of a medical set up with female athletes at a Women’s Premier League Football Club which has links to the Professional men's and academy teams.

Requirements of the role;

  • Assess, treat and provide advice to players and training clinics.
  • Pitch side first aid certificate
  • Pre and post match strapping and soft tissue release
  • Educate and motivate players to manage injuries and progression.
  • Update and maintain medical and injury records and adhere to confidentiality agreements.

Essential Qualifications of the role;

BSc or MSc in Physiotherapy, Sports Therapy or Sports Rehabilitation Degrees Current Sports First Aid qualification preferably FA Intermediate First Aid for Sport Taping and Strapping Massage experience or qualification Strong work ethic.

Ability to make concise decisions under pressure.
