AFC Wimbledon’s under-18s returned to winning ways at the training ground this afternoon, to keep up their push for the Youth Alliance Merit League title.
Great Evans netted a brace in the 2-0 victory over Peterborough United, while the midfield duo of first-year scholars Jack Rudoni and Finlay Macnab stood out with an eye towards next year’s developing talent.
Finlay and Coach Mark Robinson gave us their post-match thoughts after the game at New Malden and you can see the full interview below, via a link to our official YouTube channel.
Latest discovery Finlay has started to shine for the young Dons, having been spotted playing Sunday League football by Head of Talent ID Ben Fosuhene and rewarded with a pre-scholar deal.
“It was very good win,” said Finlay. “I thought today also showed more of a Wimbledon performance of passing the ball and I think that’s come from training this week. I think we’ve had some good training sessions and I like playing with Jack in midfield, as I think we have a good chemistry off the pitch as well.”
