Golden Goals summary: final prize still unclaimed

Roger and Linda Dennis have helped raise over £200,000 for the club

Have you still to claim your Golden Goal prize from the final game of 2017/18 against Bury?

The first prize from that game has not yet been claimed, so if you are the holder of the winning ticket, now is your chance to claim £100.

The opening goal was scored by player number 6 on the team sheet, in the 12th minute.  The holder of the winning ticket should claim by following the instructions on the reverse of their ticket.  Claims have been received from the holders of the tickets for scorer 6 in the 11th and 13th minutes and they will share the £100 prize if the holder of the winning ticket does not claim their prize.  The second goal was scored by player number 11 on the team sheet, in the 34th minute, winning £25 for Jessica Tomlin.

This match marked the end of an era in terms of the Golden Goals competition with Roger and Linda Dennis organising it for the last time. The sale of Golden Goal tickets raised £10,297 last season, bringing the total raised by Roger and Linda Dennis and their team of volunteers to £201,747. This is a total raised since the early days after AFC Wimbledon's reformation.

It’s been a fantastic contribution to club funds and all at AFC Wimbledon thank Roger and Linda for their valuable efforts. Visit the Dons Trust website to read an article that sums up their contributions and we also spoke to Roger and Linda when we put together a feature on the Volunteers’ Away Day.
