The AFC Wimbledon Foundation will next week be running its half-term Player Development Centre for children aged between 4 and 14 years.
Based at Wimbledon Park (Revelstoke Road, SW18 5NN), the course provides a fun environment to develop the core football skills of ball control, dribbling, passing, shooting, heading, and providing an opportunity to implement them in match play.
The half-term course runs from 29 May to 1 June from 10.00 am until 3.00 pm each day with qualified Foundation coaches on hand to help young footballers develop their skills.
Mini Dons sessions
These will run from 10.00 am until 12 noon on each of the above days with the aim of developing the fundamentals of football for children 4-6 years. The Player Development sessions for 7-14 year olds will be held across the full day from 10.00 am until 3.00 pm.
All Foundation coaches are FA qualified and hold up to date First Aid, Safeguarding and DBS checks. The sessions are delivered on grass at the bottom of the park, towards the boating lake area.
The Foundation is also delivering a six-week programme of football courses throughout the summer holiday period. For further details and how to book, please visit the Foundation website.
