A five-strong Dons team are gearing up for a gruelling 145-mile cycle ride to Amsterdam with all funds donated for a vital cause.
Ian Robinson, Laura Hart, Ian Hicks, and David Welch will be cycling from London via Harwich to the Dutch city with Dennis Gleeson bidding to complete the equivalent distance from Barnsley, via Hull, to Amsterdam.
Our team of Wombles will be joining almost 400 football fans from across the UK for the big challenge on 1-3 June with funds raised going towards Prostate Cancer UK's research into a disease that kills one man every 45 minutes.
The challenge takes place just two weeks before the World Cup starts and it concludes at Ajax's Amsterdam ArenA.
Wearing the blue and yellow with pride, the team are clocking up the miles with a demanding training schedule and they are well on the way to reaching the sponsorship target. If you would like to support their magnificent efforts, please visit their JustGiving fundraising page.
