Cup glory offers Wembley incentive for Wimbledon team

Video feature on a proud day for AFC Wimbledon in the community

7 November 2018

There was a bumper turn-out at the Girls Cup organised by AFC Wimbledon's Foundation yesterday - and you can watch a video feature all about the event.

On a proud day in the community for the club, 140 players from 17 teams competed for the chance to represent AFC Wimbledon in the regional finals. Ursuline High School triumphed 2-1 in the final, edging out Kingston Grammar School, and the girls from the Wimbledon-based facility will now have a chance of reaching Wembley in the EFL Trust's national competition.

Ursuline High School's PE teacher Rachel Corrigan said it will be an honour for the girls to represent the Dons in the competition. To watch an interview with Rachel and a video feature on the event, click on the link below.
