9 October 2018

There will be a star turn from television providing a helping hand at Sunday's big club event with Lucy Alexander joining in the fun.

Lucy, a TV presenter who is best known for her appearances in the BBC's Homes Under the Hammer, will be drawing the winning names in the raffle, which will raise funds for our Academy and Foundation.

Academy Manager Jeremy Sauer said: "Lucy's son Leo is with our academy and she is a humble person who is always eager to help the club out. Lucy has been great and we will be delighted to have her along."

Lucy is married to former Dons player Stewart Castledine.

As well as staging the annual Minithon at the club's New Malden training complex on Sunday 14 October, we are aiming to host a community event for people of all ages that everyone connected with the club can be proud of. Young Dons are welcome to come along and meet first-team players and staff and there will be a wide range of events staged on the day.

Our Academy and Foundation are combining to put on the activities, including the following:

• 1km Family Fun Run
• Coaching clinics
• Penalty shoot outs
• Meet first-team players
• Food and refreshments
• Face painting
• 5km Minithon
• Club merchandise and raffle

Bring the family along for a fun packed morning!

The event takes places between 10.00 am and 12.30 pm at the following address: KCL Sports Ground, Windsor Ave, New Malden, KT3 5HA.

Optional entry for 1k and all kids activities - £5 for children (U14)
Optional entry for 5k Minithon - £5 U18, £10 Adults

You will also be supporting your club's important activities in the community through the Foundation and helping the Academy's aim to nurture more players for the first-team.

All profits made on the day will support AFC Wimbledon Academy and AFC Wimbledon Foundation.
