Tom Soares's super-strike from distance at the beginning of September topped our twitter poll for Goal of the Month.
The midfielder's spectacular effort at The Valley, against Charlton Athletic in the Checkatrade Trophy, gained almost half the total number of votes with 47%.

Top scorer Joe Pigott, who won our August poll for his goal against Sunderland, had to settle for second place on this occasion for his individual goal against Gillingham. Scott Wagstaff came third for his solo effort at Accrington Stanley.
