Mark Robinson was disappointed with the defensive lapses that resulted in a cup exit today, but he's confident that his squad are making positive steps in the right direction.
Speaking after the 3-2 Football League Youth Alliance Cup exit at the hands of league leaders Northampton, Mark said: "They are learning all the time. I'm seeing positive things happening, even at the final whistle today you saw Reuben (Collins) getting hold of them and saying that they are too precious. There are great little nuggets happening all the time, but if we are going to play good, possession based football, we just cannot concede goals like we did today. They have to recognise that the pitch is in front of them and make better decisions.
"We will keep with the process: make them better people, stronger characters, and better footballers. It's just an ongoing process. Fingers-crossed, we win games, but it's all about producing better footballers. I am confident in what we are doing to achieve that."
