Crowdfunding Update: We've gone public

5 August 2019

We've gone public - and now we need YOU to go public by spreading the word far and wide....

Our unique crowdfunding campaign - to help pay for our move back to Plough Lane - is open to everyone from today onwards. That includes all those fans who pre-registered but haven't yet completed the process.

As most of you know by now, we are offering you the opportunity to buy shares in our club. In return, you'll not only be helping complete one of football's greatest stories, you'll also become eligible for some of the most incredible rewards ever offered to loyal fans.

For a minimum investment of just £10, you'll get your name permanently inscribed on an Investors' Wall at our new stadium so generations of fans will always know who helped build this astonishing legacy. Further, we will be reserving 20 per cent of all home games in season one for a unique draw. Every investor will automatically be entered and if you win, you'll get the naming rights to our new stadium for one game!

The rewards get even more spectacular the more you invest, with opportunities to get your name on loads of fixtures and fittings - such as the turnstiles, beer taps, and our food/beverage and merchandise kiosks.

For the real heavyweight investors, you can stay with the team for an away match and enjoy an evening meal with our manager. Or how's about becoming a club patron or vice president for 10 years with VIP access on match days to the President’s Lounge or Boardroom.

It's an offer worthy of the Crazy Gang itself - and especially our club legend-turned-Hollywood-movie-star Vinnie! The stand-out performer in the blockbuster film Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels agreed to help us by appearing in our very own blockbuster video, which you can see by clicking on the link below.

The video is presented by YouTube sensation and devoted AFC Wimbledon fan John Green, who explains that we’re raising funds to pay for our new stadium in Wimbledon. As Vinnie says at the start of the video: “Back in the day we used to play at Plough Lane - and we loved it. The other lot hated it.”

John then explains what happened to our club 17 years ago and how we were stripped of our name and forced to move 70 miles away. Against all the odds, though, a group of loyal fans reformed the club - playing outside the borough, in the ninth tier of English football.

Six promotions later, we’re now back in League One - and ready to move back to Wimbledon, just 250 yards from our old home in Plough Lane, where Vinnie and the Crazy Gang became household names.

“This wonderful fan-owned club deserves to be back in the heart of the community where it was founded and where they played for over a hundred years,” says John.

“The good news is they have an opportunity to build a new stadium right next to where their old one was.”

John then lines up one of the funniest moments in the video - and brings out the true Hollywood star in Vinnie. “The not so good news is they’re a bit short on the money,” he adds.

The camera then switches to Vinnie, who - looking mean, tough and all Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, snarls: “Muppets”. There isn’t even a hint of a twinkle in his eyes!

We’ll leave the last word to Vinnie. As a player, he simply refused to be beaten and with his customary, trademark defiance, he declares: “Nothing’s impossible.”

Please enjoy the video, share it with your family and friends - and, just like Vinnie, get them to #LeadUsHome
