Tonight’s cup tie marks 16 years since landmark win

Dons at Molesey in cup competition

3 December 2019

Wimbledon’s Surrey Senior Cup tie at Molesey tonight will be played exactly 16 years since our first match in the competition after reformation.

On 3 December 2003, The Dons triumphed 1-0 against Ash United with Ryan Gray netting the only goal in the 90th minute. Matt Everard (pictured in match action against Bromley) faced his former club in the match and Wimbledon’s starting line-up included Michael Harvey, now famously known for his music as MC Harvey.

Wimbledon’s squad on the night was as follows: Matt Martin, Jamie Angell, Michael Harvey, Danny Oakins, Matt Everard, Andy Sullivan, Seb Favata, Noel Frankum, Gavin Bolger, Kevin Cooper, Ryan Gray, Keith Ward, Lewis Taylor, Marc Skinner, Paul Scott, Paul Quinn. Wimbledon have won the Surrey Senior Cup five times in the past, most recently in 2005 with an extra-time victory against Walton & Hersham. Come along tonight and cheer on The Dons in pursuit of more cup glory!
