Home Sweet Home

This is what our future really does look like....

8 July 2019

This is the showpiece stadium we want to be in when season 2020/21 kicks off. Back in Plough Lane, where we belong; back to the spiritual home of AFC Wimbledon.

This is the reward we so richly deserve for having the will to never give up. This completes our incredible resurrection and proves the Crazy Gang spirit is alive and kicking.

Designed and built by two of the world's leading venue construction companies, our new home will be bursting with unique features you won't find in other stadiums:

*Our very own pub, open seven days a week, which the local community can use during normal licensing hours;

*A fan zone, which can be accessed from all our stands, so fans can meet before, during and after games, no matter where they're sat;

*The largest conferencing suite in the borough - capable of seating 500 guests;

*A museum charting the history of our remarkable club. What a story we have to tell - and we'll be able to arrange tours for the wider community;

*A 9,000 capacity which can eventually expand to 20,000 by connecting all four corners to create a dramatic bowl-shaped arena.

These are just a few of the features, as well. The main West Stand will have four tiers (including the ground floor), with media facilities, camera gantries and 12 glass-fronted executive boxes looking down on to our pitch. The players' tunnel will lead out from the centre of the stand, with the managers' technical areas either side.

There'll be food concessions and bar kiosks scattered throughout for supporters who don't want to congregate in the fans' zone - and there'll be a greatly-expanded club shop packed with souvenirs and mementos.

Our artist impressions give you a real sense of what it's going to be like, with the cut-away showing the fans' zone and where that will be positioned. An area has been designated for families, away fans will go in the North Stand, and - of course - there will be full provision for disabled supporters, including 100 dedicated spaces and four internal lifts.

Expected to cost around £30million, this is the stadium that completes our resurrection. This is what the pioneers dreamt and talked about when they took the bold steps 17 years ago to rebuild our club.

This puts us back on the map, back in SW19 - back into the community we were cruelly torn away from. We’re so close to moving in, you can look at these pictures and practically hear the roar as the team walks out into a blue and yellow wonderland for the first match back on home turf.

Imagine the extra decibels, imagine the players proudly pushing out their chests - imagine those badges on those shirts. Plough Lane will be awash with pride and emotion - and, with your help, it’s less than 14 months away.

Isn’t this what we've all been waiting for?
