AFC Wimbledon are back at Hampton & Richmond on Saturday, as Wally’s boys continue preparations for the 2019/20 season.
Of course, it’s a return to the scene of a glorious outcome back in 2009 when Jon Main’s late equaliser effectively sealed promotion to what is now the National League.
Fast forward over 10 years and The Dons are preparing for a fourth successive season in League One with Saturday’s match at the Jezzards Beveree Stadium as the penultimate match of Wimbledon’s pre-season campaign. Following the midweek 3-1 win at Met Police, Wimbledon will be aiming for another encouraging display with the start of 2019/20 looming.
