A big thank-you to our volunteers

Close season work weekend is well attended once again

17 June 2019

Volunteers again highlighted why AFC Wimbledon is a special club by chipping in to do jobs for free at the Cherry Red Records Stadium.

Our second close season work weekend was once again well attended with supporters completing a variety of tasks inside and outside the stadium, ahead of our first pre-season match against Brentford on 5 July.

It wasn't just local AFC Wimbledon supporters that turned out on Saturday and Sunday as Father-and-son Dave and Simon Peacey once again travelled in all the way from Bristol! The picture above shows some of the volunteers that chipped in and our gallery features supporters getting on with jobs over the weekend.

Volunteers completed a variety of tasks outside the stadium, including mowing the grass verges in the club car park, cutting back hedges, and clearing weeds. Inside the stadium, jobs include painting the terraces, advertising boards, and entrance gates for the Your Golf Travel terrace.

It was another great effort from our volunteers and the club thanks everyone that helped out at the weekend.
