James O’Halloran has been handed an opportunity to gain first-team experience by joining Kingstonian on loan.
James, who has been a regular for our development squad this season, has joined the Bostik League Premier Division side until 27 April.
The full-back will join Alfie Egan at Kingstonian with the midfielder having signed for K’s last week.
Speaking about the loan deal, Wally Downes said: “The development league matches are not always great and it’s important I see that these players can play competitive football from now until the end of the season. If I’m looking to take James on next year then I’m not judging him on training ground games. I’ll be having him watched, playing men’s football, and this is an opportunity for him to show me what he can do. There hasn’t been great opportunities for them in the development league so we are trying to get all of them out if we possibly can and get them watched. We are giving them a fair crack of the whip until the end of the season.”
