Match Details: Support our AFC Wimbledon Ladies & Girls

Plenty going on at your club on Saturday

22 March 2019

The Dons on Saturday go in pursuit of more valuable points in the race to stay in League One, but it’s also an important day for our Ladies & Girls section.

It’s the annual AFC Wimbledon Ladies & Girls Day at tomorrow’s match against Gillingham and your support will be appreciated for a club that continues to grow every season (see later on this page for more details about what’s going on).

Below is a summary of match arrangements for the game on Saturday:

Tickets

Saturday’s match is sold out for Wimbledon supporters. No tickets will therefore be available on the day. Due to an extensive waiting list for Saturday's sold out match against Gillingham, it's unlikely that any more tickets will become available. Supporters on the waiting list that have been allocated tickets for this game will be contacted by phone as soon as possible.

Bars

These will be open from 12 noon and supporters are welcome to get here at that time to watch an important League One match. We will be showing the Walsall versus Barnsley match from 12 midday on TV screens with both teams battling for vital points for completely different reasons.

In the Your Golf Travel Bar and the Back Bar, there will be a wide selection of drinks, including real ales. Both pop-up bars will be open. We will be pleased to welcome Gillingham supporters into the bar areas.

AFC Wimbledon Ladies & Girls Day

On the pitch at half-time, the U11s girls teams will be showcased with a skills test, and the rest of the section will be doing a lap of honour. Also at half-time, the winning tickets in the recent Ladies & Girls fundraising raffle will be drawn. During the day the girls will be in and around the ground shaking buckets to collect much-needed funds. If you can help with even just a few pence, the girls would be very appreciative.

Programme

In Saturday’s edition, there’s an extensive interview with Toby Sibbick, who tells us why his background in Athletics is proving more than useful at first-team level. In his programme notes, Chief Executive Erik Samuelson provides an update on an important funding source for the new stadium. As part of AFC Wimbledon Ladies & Girls Day, there will be a feature all about the club in tomorrow’s programme.

Golden Goal

Have a chance to win the £100 first prize by buying a Golden Goal ticket tomorrow! Tickets cost just £1, so look out for our Golden Goal sellers around the stadium before the game.

Dons Trust Kiosk

DTB members Rob Crane (Vice Chair) and Cormac van der Hoeven will be available to talk to at the kiosk. You can also join the Trust or renew your membership at the kiosk, sign up to the Dons Draw (our regular monthly lottery), or donate loose change, foreign currency or items for AFCbay (our online auction).

Tickets for away games

You can buy tickets for the away match at Scunthorpe United, which takes place on Saturday 30 March. Get your ticket from the complimentary tickets window before the game or for a short time after the match. Places on the supporters’ coach can also be booked.
