Squad news: Loan deals for young midfielders

Jack and Alfie join Bostik Premier League clubs

22 March 2019

Jack Rudoni will round off an eventful week in his fledgling career by being a part of the Corinthian Casuals squad for their home match against Dorking Wanderers on Saturday.

The midfielder, who signed a professional contract at AFC Wimbledon yesterday, has joined Bostik Premier League side Casuals for the rest of this season. It will offer the 17-year-old an opportunity to gain first-team experience elsewhere and he can’t wait to go out and play.

“I spoke to the manager about what I needed to do to get into the first-team and he said that he wanted me to get experience of men’s football,” Jack said. “For me to get that experience we worked out that it would be best for me to go out on loan, so I will be joining Corinthian Casuals for the rest of this season, just to play men’s football. Hopefully, that will go well and when I come back for pre-season I can try to break into the first-team.”

Alfie Egan will also go on loan for the rest of this season after the 21-year-old midfielder joined Kingstonian. Alfie’s first-team opportunities have been limited during 2018/19 and he’s likely to go straight into the Kingstonian squad for their match at Lewes on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Kosta Sparta’s contract with the club has been cancelled, at his request.  The midfielder, who joined us last summer, has gone on trial with Hibernian. We wish Kosta all the best for the future.
