AFC Wimbledon will take on Bristol City in a pre-season friendly at the Cherry Red Records Stadium on Tuesday 9 July (7.45 pm kick-off).
It will offer a stern test for The Dons in preparation for the 2019/20 season with Bristol City having finished eighth in the Championship last season. Under the guidance of young manager Lee Johnson, City have made big strides in recent seasons, most notably reaching the semi-final of the Carabao Cup in 2017/18.
The match in July will have special significance for Dons midfielder Scott Wagstaff, who became a real favourite with City supporters after helping them to promotion in 2015 and to silverware with the Football League Trophy.
We will announce ticket details for the Bristol City match in due course. We earlier this week announced that The Dons will face Brentford in a pre-season game on Friday 5 July (7.45 pm kick-off).
