Bayzo's alternative close season challenge

Our Goalkeeper Coach is still getting muddy during the summer months

30 May 2019

Our Goalkeeper Coach Ashley Bayes is still enjoying diving around in the mud, even though it’s the close season!

“Bayzo” has been keeping busy, since our “Great Escape”. Having pulled on the gloves again and made a great save in a testimonial for former Stevenage team mate Ronnie Henry, Ashley has since been getting up to far more energetic pursuits!

Ashley took part in a “Nuclear” 12k race as part of the 30-strong “Regiment Wolves” team, overcoming all sorts of difficult obstacles at an event staged in Brentwood. The event can take anything between three to five hours to complete the course.

Our photo shows "Bayzo" flying through the air, at the end of the "Death Slide". Thankfully he managed to survive in one piece!

We want to know from our supporters if you’ve been up to anything quite as testing? Send us your adrenalin-fuelled, thrill-seeking photos in your Wimbledon colours via our social media accounts!
