Steve Seddon said that victory at Rochdale instilled 'massive belief' that the squad could pull off the Great Escape and he selected it as the favourite match of his loan spell at Wimbledon.
Seddon, who made 18 appearances for The Dons after joining on loan from Birmingham City, scored three goals including that vital equaliser at Luton Town, but that wasn't his favourite game.
“The 4-3 win at Rochdale," said Seddon. "Experiencing all the emotions in that game and obviously I won the penalty in the last minute that Pigs converted. I think winning the match in those circumstances instilled massive belief for the boys. We went 1-0 down and 2-1 down, but came back to win it. That game epitomised the fighting spirit we had to show to stay up.
“The Luton game was important, but it only became vital because we picked up four points in the last two games. If we hadn’t of picked up those points, then the Luton match would just have been like any other game. The most important game of the whole season was the Wycombe one. Purely because it put us in such a good position going into the final game.”
