Saturday’s opponents Blackpool will bring back good memories for our striker Joe Pigott, as he bids to build on his goal scoring form.
Joe made a dream start to life with The Dons, coming on as a second-half substitute against the Tangerines at the Cherry Red Records Stadium on January 20, 2018 and he scored the second goal in a 2-0 victory. That was just five days after he joined us from Maidstone United.
Since then he’s added some impressive goals to his career tally at Wimbledon, with a powerful header against Premier League West Ham in the Carabao Cup last season among them. There was also a splendid strike at home to Sunderland and an unforgettable effort against Bristol Rovers!
Joe’s latest goal came only last weekend, as he headed home a pin-point cross from right-back Luke O’Neill. You can be at Bloomfield Road on Saturday to see if he adds to his total this season - see our previous article regarding coach travel and tickets.
