AFC Wimbledon’s new stadium will be a big asset for the community in Merton and it offers an opportunity for local businesses to get involved with this exciting project.
As part of this, representatives from our stadium contractors Buckingham Group are inviting businesses to a meet and greet with their site team on Thursday 14 November. With sustainability an important part of Buckingham Group’s philosophy, it offers a chance for small and medium sized enterprises, based locally, to get involved with the new stadium.
The idea of the meeting is to help representatives from potential suppliers and subcontractors to understand the necessary criteria required to work with Buckingham Group on the stadium project. The meeting will be held at the Cherry Red Records Stadium (current home of AFC Wimbledon).
There will be a presentation staged by Buckingham, which will cover a range of subjects, including the benefits of getting involved, the selection criteria for subcontractors and suppliers, plus the packages on offer to do with the new stadium.
In particular, Buckingham Group will be interested to hear from subcontractor types to do with the following:
- Dry lining
- French Polishing
- Vinyl flooring
- Carpet installation
- Blind installation
- Road surfacing
- Site Hoarding
- Automated access
- Builders work holes
- Fire batting
Those looking to work on a supply-only basis:
- Door suppliers
- Food stall owners (manufacturers, not caterers)
- Carpet suppliers
The meeting will start at 5.00 pm in the Your Golf Travel Bar at the stadium and it will last for approximately two hours.
E-mail firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in coming along.
