Rod McDonald is aiming take a major step towards a first-team return by featuring in Wimbledon's match at Molesey on Tuesday night (7.45 pm kick-off).
The defender will add experience to a young Dons squad for the Specsavers Surrey Senior Cup first round tie at Walton Road. Due to a knee injury, Rod has not featured for the first-team since the away match at Sunderland at the end of August.
Molesey are currently fourth in the Combined Counties Premier Division, the level where AFC Wimbledon's journey started after reformation.
