AFC Wimbledon have received a boost for the trip to Southend with Marcus Forss having decided to put club duty first on Saturday.
Marcus, who has scored four goals already for Wimbledon since joining on transfer deadline day, had the option to go away with Finland Under-21s, but he chose to stay here.
Speaking in his interview ahead of the Southend game, Glyn praised the on-loan Brentford striker's commitment to the cause.
“Marcus just said ‘what do you want me to do for the international break? Do you want me to stay?’ I said ‘if you can, maybe speak to the Finnish FA’, but I don’t think we can’. He spoke to me the next day and said it was done. He knows how important it is to play in League One. He has chosen to stay and they (Finnish FA) have given permission for him to stay, which is fantastic. We are delighted that he’s available for Saturday.
“It’s not just attitude, but the way he finishes. He’s got goals in him: the header at MK, left foot volley against Rochdale, he scores all sorts of goals. In training every day he’s putting them in, so that’s equally as impressive.”
Look out soon for an extensive interview with Glyn ahead of the match at Southend.
