Our development squad must overcome two away ties if they are to make further progress in this season's county cup competitions.
Mark Robinson, assisted by Vaughan Ryan (with Ashley Bayes also pictured), has only suffered one defeat to Watford so far since taking over as Lead Professional Phase Coach. The impressive run of form has included a win on penalties at Metropolitan Police in the last round of the London Senior Cup. Wimbledon will face a trip to Cray Valley Paper Mills or Greenwich Borough in the second round.
The young Dons won't have far to travel for their first round tie in this season's Specsavers Surrey Senior Cup. Wimbledon will visit Molesey, after they beat Croydon on 7-6 on penalties in midweek following a preliminary round match.
Dates for these matches are still to be finalised.
We last won the Surrey Senior Cup in 2005, following a 2-1 victory after extra time over Walton and Hersham at Kingfield. Wimbledon also beat Metropolitan Police 2-1 in the final of the London Senior Cup in 2014.
