AFC Wimbledon are in tonight’s draw for the Emirates FA Cup first round, which will be broadcast live on BBC Two.
The Dons have been allocated ball number two in the draw, which will take place from 7.10 pm tonight.
It will be conducted by Karen Carney and Jermaine Beckford and will take place at Maldon & Tiptree.
The 32 non-League clubs that progress from the fourth round qualifying will be joined by 47 clubs from Leagues One and Two. Of course, Wimbledon enjoyed a fantastic run in the competition in 2018/19, knocking out Premier League club West Ham on the way to the last-16.
Due to Bury FC’s removal from the English Football League and subsequently the Emirates FA Cup, there will be an odd number of clubs entering the draw.
As a result, the final club left in the draw, that isn’t drawn to play in a tie in the first round, will receive an automatic bye to the second round and will also receive the prize fund payment applicable for the first round.
The first round is scheduled for the weekend of Saturday 9 November with winning clubs collecting £36,000 from The FA prize fund.
