AFC Wimbledon Under-18s go in pursuit of a third successive victory on Saturday after a dramatic win at Barnet.

The young Dons host Gillingham at New Malden on Saturday (10.30 am kick-off time) in buoyant mood after a 3-2 win at The Hive against Barnet, thanks to a header from Troy Chiabi (pictured) and a Julien Ramirez double.

AFC Wimbledon got off to a quick-fire start on Saturday, scoring just 38 seconds into the match. A well-timed interception by Under-16 Josh Hallard set the tone for the attack, before Jamil Awoyejo put a cross in for Chiabi to head home. The Dons stayed on top of the hosts and Dylan Adjei-Hersey went close five minutes later with a header from six yards out. Fortunately for the keeper, it was straight at him. Though the visitors had the majority of possession and chances to go with it, the next goal would come from the hosts - the equaliser arriving in the 22nd minute. The hosts grew more confident in the game following the equaliser and took the lead 11 minutes later from a similar corner routine to the one that earned the first goal.

Following the interval, it was Wimbledon that looked the brighter of the sides and threatened early on to equalise. The hosts struggled to get out of their half and an attempted clearance cut out by Elliott Bolton looped up for Julien Ramirez to get on the end of and equalise in the 64th minute.

The Dons displayed fighting spirit for the fourth week in a row, scoring late on once again. Ramirez notched his brace and three points in the 92nd minute with a good piece of close control in the box, before producing a composed finish into the bottom corner.
