Loan watch: Dylan makes his mark at Bradford

Round-up of young Dons in action elsewhere at the weekend

23 September 2019

Dylan Connolly was voted man-of-the-match by Bradford City supporters after their 3-1 victory over Carlisle United in League Two.

The winger (pictured in action for Wimbledon against West Ham) is on a season-long loan and completed 79 minutes for the Bantams, before he was substituted.

Jack Rudoni made his Tonbridge Angels debut in the FA Cup on Saturday, completing almost seventy minutes of action for his new side.

The skilful midfielder started for the Kent side and they went in with a 1-0 lead at half-time, against Eastbourne Borough. Jack was replaced in the 69th minute, but Angels went on ultimately to lose the tie 2-1.

Striker Zach Robinson had a couple of early opportunities for Basingstoke Town in their league match at AFC Totton. Although the young forward was unable to capitalise, he was part of a Basingstoke side that kept their first clean sheet of the season. Defender Reuben Collins missed the match as he served a suspension.

Midfielder Richie Mbele is gaining valuable match time with Godalming Town. The midfielder, like Zach Robinson, is also on a work experience loan with the Combined Counties League side.

Richie is under the watchful eye of former AFC Wimbledon goalkeeper and Academy coach Jordan Knight, who is also a team-mate. Both played in Godalming’s 3-0 victory over FC Deportivo Galicia at the weekend.

Ayoub Assal (Metropolitan Police), Finlay Macnab and Tommy Wood (Leatherhead) didn’t play on Saturday, as their sides have already been knocked out of the FA Cup for this season.
