Wally Downes said it was a tough defeat to take after Wimbledon were left with nothing to show for a battling away display against league leaders Coventry City.
Speaking after the 2-1 defeat, Wally said: "I'm devastated for the boys because they really put a shift in. They executed what we asked them to do with the way we played and I felt we were worthy of getting something from the game. Heads were down in there afterwards for a while, but as disappointed as they are today, when the win comes, which it will on Saturday, then they will really enjoy it. I was proud of the performance, proud of the work-rate and their ability to play to the plan that we set out. The way they executed it was terrific."
